Great Pyramid Facts

The first interesting fact associated with the pyramids of Giza, is their unique position on the ground. All three pyramids are oriented almost exactly on the four cardinal directions. Deviation of the Great Pyramid from a North is 2’28 “, South – 1’58″, East – 5’30 “and West – 2’30″. Corners of the base are almost perfect right angles. The odds that have happened by chance is less absurd. On the other hand we know that Egyptians are not known then the compass. The question arises when and who built the pyramids, and for what purpose.

Unique pyramid location

Another interesting fact in the position of the pyramids is that if we continue the diagonals of the base of the Great Pyramid, they just enclose the Nile delta, as illustrated by the satellite image above. Egyptians did not have methods with which to build the pyramid exactly this way.

Diagonals of the pyramid enclose Nile

Perhaps the most inexplicable “coincidence” of all was discovered by Charles Piazza Smyth (1819-1900) who was a respected scientist in Scotland, dealing with astronomy. In his book “Legacy of the Great Pyramid” (1877) published given below illustrations, explaining that the pyramid lies 31 degrees east and latitude 30 degrees north latitude. 31st meridian is the longest terrestrial meridian, and 30th parallel – the longest terrestrial latitude. They intersect in a single place and this place is near the Giza plateau. It follows that the pyramids lie exactly in the center of the entire land mass of the world and divide it into four equal parts! Maybe this is coincidence???

Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac: “In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it’s the exact opposite.”

I’ve just finished reading that not only is the giza pyramid the geometric center of all the land mass, but also in altitude above average sea level.
this means that from the top of Everest to the average sealevel through all fases of the moon altitude is the middle at the base of the pyramid of Giza

Thank you for the video but I want to respectfully disagree with your claim in referring to the Great Pyramids as one of the greatest achievements in Western Civilization. I find Western Civilization to be an African Civilization dominated by Europeans and the builders of the pyramids were definitely not dominated by Europeans. It was the Europeans, led by Alexander the Great that entered Africa and obtained our knowledge in order to develop their people. Therefore, when making things public, please make sure that you do not offend Africans who have not lost the knowledge of self neither the achievements of our ancestors, because it is very offensive to compare Western Civilization to African Civilization. We have never placed profit over humanity as a society nor committed any atrocities independently.

Capmic tu made a well articulated comment. So what, we are looking at pyramids that are over 12,000 years old? 5,000 years old is the accepted age of the pyramids and I have always had a hard time believing that people from that time period could construct the pyramids. Now we are to believe that people from 10,000 bc constructed the pyramids. I just do not believe that people from that time were able to do that. Not without…uhm..dare I say… “assistance”.
